Emergency storm tree service

The storm line

It is answered at every hour. At night, that is our dispatcher or the on-call crew lead. Spanish is spoken on the line.

Nights cost more than scheduled work, because a crew is called out. The dispatcher says so before anyone is sent, and the estimate shows it as its own line.

  • Call or text, any hour

  • Photos by text are read in the order they arrive

  • A wire down or a fire is a 911 call first

Sorting the calls

What goes first, and what can wait

  • First

A tree on a house or on a way out, a limb hanging over a roof or a car, a tree across a road.

  • Next

A tree blocking a driveway or gate, a split limb over a yard where people walk.

  • Can wait for daylight

A fallen tree in an empty yard, a damaged fence, a leaning tree over nothing. We will say so on the call.

Before the crew arrives

What to do while you wait

  • 01

    Stay back

Keep away from the tree and from anything it is touching, especially wires. Keep people and pets inside.

  • 02

    Call about wires first

A line down or sparking is a call to 911 and the utility. We start when the utility says the line is dead.

  • 03

    Photograph from a distance

Four sides if you can, the damage close up, and the date on your phone. Text them to us or keep them for your adjuster.

  • 04

    Don't cut it yourself

A tree under tension can spring when cut. Leave it for a crew.

The storm line, in questions

Is the storm line really answered at night?

Yes. A dispatcher, or the on-call crew lead, answers the storm line at every hour. After a large storm the line can be busy: leave a message and text photos, and we call back in the order of danger.

Does a night call cost more?

Emergency work after hours is priced above scheduled work, because a crew is called out. The dispatcher says so before a crew is sent, and the written estimate shows it as its own line.

How soon can you get here?

It depends on the storm and where your call sits in the order. We tell you on the phone, in plain words. If it will be days, we say days, and if another firm can reach you sooner we say that too.

What should I do before the crew arrives?

Stay away from the tree and anything it touches, especially wires. Keep people and pets inside. If a line is down, call 911 and the utility first. Photograph the tree from a distance and text us the pictures.

Do you work with my insurance company?

We give you photos, a plain description of the work and an itemized invoice to send with your claim. We don't file claims, say what your policy covers or promise to pay a deductible. That is between you and your insurer.

Tree down? Call or text now.

A dispatcher answers at every hour. If it can wait for daylight, we will say so.
